Queen of the South manager James Fowler says the changes to his starting line up for Tuesday's ill fated cup clash with Livingston were all enfored.
Iain Russell and Andy Dowie were both carrying knocks while he was keen to give Derek Lyle a rest.
"It wasn't like we were taking this competition lightly," he said. "We wanted to progress.
"The boys have had a lot of games."
