DEFEAT AT HOME NOT GOOD ENOUGH - McINTYRE NOT HAPPY AFTER DUMBARTON GAME

Queen's manager Jim McIntyre was not in the best of moods as he reflected on a disappointing home defeat by Dumbarton.

Speaking on the lastest Podcast on the Queen's Official Site, he considered the defeat not good enough and was disappointed that we did not take our chances with particulat reference to Reilly and Russell.

He gave credit to Dumbarton who took their chances but rejected claims that his players were not rested from the epic effort at Tynecastle. He was adamant that his players were rested and that his options on freshening the team were limited particularly in the striking role.

He emphasised that his team controlled the match well but let themselves down by not being more clinical in front of goal.

He also stated that the players will be working hard in midweek with special training towards putting the ball in the net.
