Green says it was a pleasant surprise when she was asked to take over from James Alexander Gordon.
"I was absolutely delighted," Green said. "It is something I always dreamed about as a child. When I was six, I used to sit at the kitchen table and read them out loud, much to the annoyance of my sister who thought it was all terribly boring."
Green supports Tottenham and is backing them to beat Chelsea on Saturday. She explained: "It's an open secret that I support Spurs. I think it is going to be a very tight match but with home advantage, I am going to go for a 1-0 Spurs win."
And what happens if Spurs lose? "I might be delighted inside because they have won, or I might be sad because they have lost, but you must never show that. You have got to be utterly professional and nobody will ever know from the way I read the result that I support Spurs."
