Queen of the South manager James Fowler praised RobbieThomson for a fine performance throughout the match against table toppers at Ibrox.
"Robbie''s been growing into the role after coming in in the summer and getting used to the players around him," he told BBC Scotland.
"He made some excellent saves and hopefully that will do his confidence the world of good.
"When the penalty was saved we maybe thought it was going to be our afternoon but we knew there was time left and obviously we were on the ropes a little bit.
"We made a lot of changes and had a really young team and sometimes that affects your concentration a little bit with people knowing their jobs.
"We maybe switched off at the short corner. But I''m really proud of the players and they showed quality at times."
