Gretna manager Stuart Rome says, "I`m looking forward to meeting young Daniel Carmichael again on Monday night even though it will be a bit strange seeing him in the blue of Queen of the South. He`s a fabulous lad and will be sadly missed down here at Raydale Park.
"However he deserves every chance at a higher level and I`d love to see him futher his career in First Division football. I wish him all the best at Palmerston. "We`re all delighted that Queens have again agreed to open their pre-season with a game down here and we`re looking forward to the match. We held them to a goal-less draw last year and that was a good result for us.
However, for the sake of the fans I`ll like to see some goals this time around."
