A total of 90 shareholders gathered in the Nith Hotel this evening at a windswept Glencaple and Chairman Davie Rae opened the meeting at 1930.

A more comprensive coverage will appear in the morning but here are some brief highlights.

Dave Rae reflected on a disappointing season and blamed early exit from cup competitions, extra expenditure on players wages, injuries and a dip in attendances. However we have no bank overdraft. It was reported that no Queens monies will be required for redevelopment of Palmy and some money was already in place. Contingency plans in place to make Palmy SPL compliant if we gain promotion in the short term - Tesco store to be demolished.

An impressive Kenny Brannigan faced questions from the floor. Favours 3-5-2 formation and has 10 players alreday signed for next season. Great respect for Gordon Chisolm - Expressed favourable comment on most of the squad with Holmes a vital part of Queens team. Yet to see the best of Weatherston and McLaren - Andrews and Knight look on the way out but may have to play them if injuries persist. Team spirit excellent and is optimistic we will be in with the mix towards the end of the season.

Brannigan came over very well and most shareholders were impressed with his deep knowledge of the game.

More details in the morning...
