QUEEN OF THE SOUTH have pulled the plug on a deal for ex-Aberdeen midfielder Darren Young.
The 31-year-old appeared as a trialist for the Doonhamers in Saturday's 3-1 home defeat to Raith but limped off after just 10 minutes.
It was Young's second trial appearance for Queens having played in the opening day 1-0 defeat against his old club Dundee.
Queens boss Kenny Brannigan said: "I never got to see enough of him and if he'd done well on Saturday it would have made all the difference."
