PARKIN HAS A GOOD GUT FEELING ABOUT SIGNING FOR QUEENS UNTIL THE END OF THE SEASON

Sam arrives at Palmerston with plenty of experience under his belt having previously played down south for Swindon, Ipswich and Luton.

He told the Standard: “I had a few chats with different clubs over the past week but I liked what the manager had to say.

“I am delighted to be here and just want to get started now.

“This is a good platform to get the games under my belt and I can’t wait to get started and hopefully score some goals.”

The Surrey-born forward left St Johnstone  last week after failing to force his way into the plans of new manager Steve Lomas.

Sam added: “I just wanted to get the deal signed and get into the squad for Saturday.

“I left St Johnstone last week and the biggest thing for me was just to get myself back on the pitch playing football.

“I am very settled where I live in Scotland and the team trains down the road from me so that is ideal.

“I had a good gut feeling about what the manager said to me and that’s what I based my decision on to sign with the club.”
