Passport To Europe - Book Review

Last updated : 20 November 2008 By Queens MAD

On picking up a copy of Kenny Ramsay's incredible book PASSPORT TO EUROPE one cannot fail to be impressed by the quality of this publication with it's superb binding. This is trully a remarkable book of over 200 pages packed with some great images by Kenny supplemented by several humerous articles and ancedotes contributed mainly by Queens fans

Each round of Queens remarkable Cup run has it's own Chapter with a foreward and introduction by David Rae and Gordon Chisolm respectively. There are also Chapters dedicated to the Marbella training camp and the unforgettable homecoming parade in Dumfries the day following the Cup Final.

Amongst the remarkable images in the book my favourite is the series which lead up to the Paul Burns goal against Aberdeen with Sean O'Connor about to hug him with delight. There is also a superb image which shows most of the Doonhamers Travel Club with the legendary Blazerman looking rather pensive right in the middle.

Also an article from a Queens fan in Surrey caught my eye. He apparantly phoned up the Palmy office explaining he was a share holder requesting a ticket only to be informed that according to club records he was dead.

I thoroughly recommend this wonderful book and all blue-bloodied Queens fans should obtain a copy of what is a remarkable episode in Queens history.

Copies of the book will be on sale at the DUMFRIES LOREBURN CENTRE from the 23rd November price £19.99 - Copies are also reported to be available at the Club Shop soon.
