'PHENOMENAL' NIGHT FOR QUEEN OF THE SOUTH

QUEEN of the South's domination of Scottish football last season paid off at the IRN-BRU Scottish Football League's end of season Awards Dinner. Held at Glasgow’s Old Fruit Market and hosted by Bill Leckie and Alison Walker, the event celebrated another action-packed and successful season in Scottish football.

The big winners were Queen of theSouth who picked up most of the awards for Division Two after a phenominal year which saw them promoted, a record points total and having the top scorer in Scottish football.

Adrian Troy, Head of Marketing for IRN-BRU, said: “The IRN-BRU SFL Awards are a great opportunity to get all the clubs together to celebrate the 2012/13 season. It’s about recognising the tremendous achievements of the clubs after what’s been another phenomenal season.”

Queen of the South returned to Palmerston Park with a clutch of awards including Phenomenal Team of the Season, 2nd Division Manager of the Season for Allan Johnston and 2nd Division Player of the Season for Nicky Clark. A new award for 2012/13, Goalie of the Season, went to QoS keeper Lee Robinson.
