PLANS WELL UNDERWAY FOR GUID NYCHBURRIS PARADE

Last updated : 09 June 2006 By Duke of Galloway

A number of Queens fans have been busy at Palmy recently preparing the float which will enter the Guid Nychburris parade a week on Saturday. The main carcass of the lorry has been constructed and painted. Various other items have been manufactured and painted along with the shirt display which is quite impressive. Alex Wilson has tested out the sound system and it's working fine despite a few teething problems with the generator. The finishing touches for the float will be carried out next week. We would like to extend a big thanks to all who have turned up in recent weeks to help out. Many came straight from work to lend a hand and I was impressed by the number of ladies who turned up. Make no mistake the Queens contribution to the parade will make a huge impact in the comminity so let's all put our team colours on at Guid Nychburris and show everyone that we are the number one team in Dumfries and Galloway.
