Gavin Reilly was on target as Queen of the South recorded a convincing win over Scottish Championship bottom side Greenock Morton.

Chris Higgins headed Queens ahead early in the match as the Doonhamers dominated.

And Derek Lyle bundled in from close range to double the hosts' advantage after the break as an impressive Queens side turned up the heat.

The visitors goal led a charmed life until Jim McIntyre's side sealed all three points when Reilly slotted in his 11th goal of the season from close range near the end.

This win consolidates Queen chances of a play-off place.
