Ramsdens Cup Final Ticket Sale and Other Information

Yesterday afternoon we attended an Operations Meeting at Livingston with respect to the Ramsdens Cup Final and are now in a position to confirm more detail regarding the match.

We have been given an initial allocation of over 3,000 tickets to sell. These tickets are in the Main (West) Stand and the South Stand. However, there is an additional allocation potentially available to us if we are able to demonstrate a need for it. As previously advised, ticket prices are £15 adults and £5 concessions (over 65, under 16 and students) in the Main Stand. The adult price will drop to £14 once we start selling in the South Stand behind the goal but we are required to sell the Main Stand tickets first for segregation purposes.

Tickets will go on sale from Sunday February 17th. Season ticket holders can come along and purchase their tickets from 10am on production of Voucher 2 from their season ticket books. There will be no limit on the number of tickets each ticket holder can purchase.

Tickets will then go on General Sale from 1pm on the same day, again with no limit on purchases. Ticket sales will close at 4pm on the Sunday and thereafter remaining tickets will be sold from the Palmerston office between 9am and 3pm weekdays.

Telephone and Internet orders will be taken for those who cannot get to the club. As usual, tickets ordered by phone or online will be posted out using Guaranteed Next Day Delivery at a cost of £6 per order. There will be NO facility for later collection at Palmerston. Telephone sales will open at the same time as personal sales on the Sunday. We will make tickets available to order on the internet ahead of time but orders will not be processed by staff until initial queues of personal callers are cleared.

A small number of wheelchair and carer passes and ambulant disabled passes are also available for the match. Please get in touch with the club direct if you wish to apply for these.

We are happy to hear from organisers of buses who wish to book and pay for groups of tickets together, though such orders will not be dealt with ahead of initial queues on the opening Sunday and we cannot necessarily guarantee that tickets for bus groups will therefore be in the Main Stand.

Whether purchasing tickets as a group or not, we would be grateful to hear from anyone organising a bus for the event as the SFL has asked us to help them estimate the number of buses that will be going to Livingston. Queen of the South Supporters buses will park at a nearby college a five minute walk away and bus passes will be issued free of charge by the SFL for this purpose. Directions and required travel routes will be advised nearer to the event.

  • No public drinking is allowed in Lothian and offenders will be dealt with accordingly.

  • Flares are not allowed within the stadium and the police FOCUS group will be attending the match and will deal with offenders seriously.

  • Small flags on canes WILL be allowed in the stadium.

  • Large flags will be allowed in the stadium only if they have an appropriate certificate that they are made of fire retardant material.

Scottish Daily Record reports 22/02/13

The up-coming final between Partick Thistle and Queen of the South is set to be a sell-out at Livingston's Braidwood Motor Company Stadium.

RAMSDENS CUP fever has hit with the news that the up-coming final between Partick Thistle and Queen of the South is set to be a sell-out.

Fans of both clubs have flocked to snap up tickets for the showpiece event on Sunday, April 7 at Livingston’s Braidwood Motor Company Stadium since they went on sale this week.

And it will shortly reach the near 10,000 capacity – according to the SFL.

Thistle have already sold out their initial allocation of 4,600 briefs and the Doonhamers are close to finishing their 3,300 share.

SFL Operations and Events Manager Anton Fagan said: “It looks like this game will become a sell-out.”

The third highest attendance in a Challenge Cup Final is now in sight, as well as the highest figure for nearly 20 years.

Ramsdens Cup Final Information

We have been asked to pass on some information by both the SFL and police following today`s Ramsdens Cup Final Pre-Operations Meeting at Livingston.

Supporters should be aware that the match is a complete sell out subject to the numbers of scouts, press and guests that end up attending on the day. Accordingly the stadium and its surroundings will be very busy. Supporters are requested to arrive as early as possible and to take their seats as soon as possible on entry to the stadium. Turnstiles are scheduled to open at 2:30pm.

Since the match is a complete sell out supporters who intend bringing flags to the match should be aware that there will be no areas in which to lay flags out during the game. Small flags with canes will be allowed. Large flags will only be allowed in the ground if they have a fire retardant certificate and it is unlikely there will be anywhere to hang them during the match either, though it may be possible to hang some at the back of the South Stand if it can be done without causing problems to people who are sitting in the back row.

Anyone who does not have a pass for the Official Stadium Car Park branded by Ramsdens should NOT attempt to enter it. They will not be allowed in and will just end up holding up traffic whilst they turn around.

Queen of the South supporters should park at the West Lothian College Car Park which is less than five minutes walk from the ground. Parking is free of charge but on a first come first served basis. Bus organisers should collect a bus pass from Palmerston on Friday or between 10am and 12 noon on Saturday which will allow them entry to the West Lothian College Car Park and will allow police to see clearly which car park they should be directed to.

It should be an excellent day and a party atmosphere all round. Enjoy the day and support the team!
