Stonewall Penalty Leaves Uncle Fester Raging

UNCLE FESTER RAGING

Raging Forfar manager Dick Campbell wasn`t at all happy at some of the decisions of referee Nicholls after Queens 4-1 victory and stressed, "Football can be a strange game and decisions at critical times can dictate the outcome of matches. I`m not saying that Queens didn`t deserve to win but two decisions out there tonight did change the whole outcome of the match.

"I`ve been in football for a long time but that penalty award for Queens was the softest I`ve ever seen. At the other end we had a `stone-wall` penalty claim but the ref just waved `play-on`.

I was not all sure about Queen's penalty but was very close to the Forfar appeal and in my opnion the Forfar player took a dive. McLaren also had a good appeal for a penalty turned down near the end.

Perhaps Campbell has a valid grievance but in our opinion his side got off lightly and if Queens had taken their chances the Station Park would have been on the wrong end of an even bigger score.
