After much speculation in the press and social media outlets, debt ridden Kilmarnock are expected today to announce Alan Johnston and Sandy Clark as their new management tema at Rugby Park. The pair are being offered two year contracts and Queens will receive around £30,000 in compensation which many consider will be the bargain of the century.

This announcement will come as a bitter blow to Queens fans who are already reeling from the loss of their star striker and goalkeeper. The Doonhamers were expecting at least another year from Johnston and were looking forward to his attractive team have a crack at promotion to the SPL. The timing is also unfortunate as training was about to commence for the new season and a new surface was being laid at Palmy.

Kilmarnock are reported to be heavily in debt with unrest amongst the support and shareholders so both Johnston and Clark have taken an enormous gamble in jumping ship from a stable club very much on the up.

The temptation however for Johnston to have a crack at the SPL and for veteran Clark to grab a final payday is understandable but try explaing that to a disappointed Queens support.

We must however move on and Queens MAD thanks Johnston and Clark for arguably our most successful season but as one punter stated on the Message Board if former Killie manager Kenny Shiels had kept his mouth shut the the Magic would still be with us and who knows leading us into SPL. We will never know.

We must appoint a suitable manager ASAP with an able assistant and I'm sure there will be plenty of candidates. It could be a bumpy ride folks - hold on to your seats !
