Queens crashed 3-1 to Caley Thistle at Inverness last night and dropped to fourth spot in the table. Adam Rooney was the man who did all the damage with a three-goal scoring spree

Derek Holmes did give us some hope when he scored from the spot to pull back to 2-1 but a late third counter, also from the penalty spot, put the issue beyond doubt.

There was only one change from Saturday with Marvin Andrews replacing the injured David Lilley. There's now a 'log-jam' at the top of the table with five teams all chasing table topping Dundee.

Said Gordon Chisholm, "It was always going to be a hard game but it's certainly not the result we were looking for! We conceded soft goals, didn't fight hard enough and never really played as a unit. We were all over the place at times.

"We managed to claw our way back into the game when 'Homer' scored from the spot but then 'Scal' got caught out and the Rooney lad netted with another penalty. We have to be solid if we want to win games but David Lilley was a big miss. We were beaten by power and that disappointed me."
