Pressure Catching Up On Queens

The pressure and number of games being played appears to be catching up on Queens as they again crashed 3-1, this time at Dunfermline. It was almost like an 'action replay of the Caley Thistle match four days earlier, and we have now slipped to fifth spot in the table.

The unfortunate injury to Lilley prior to the Inverness match and the subsequent inadequate cover has played its part. There has also been an alarming dip in form from our strikers as the goals have dried up.

Said a disappointed Gordon Chisholm, "It was another bad result and it's getting hard to take! We were below par, especially in the first half, in fact we were terrible! We must learn to put the opposition under more pressure

"We competed more in the second half and when Davie Weatherston pulled one back I felt we were back in it. However, that late penalty for Dunfermline put the issue beyond doubt. As they say, 'goals kill games' and it happened to us today".

The Doonhamers visit to Ayr on Saturday is of huge imprtance and a win against the rejuvenated Honest Men with old Palmy favourite Bowser enjoying an Indian Summer, is a must.
