THE VIEW FROM THE OFFICIAL SITE

With only two wins in their last seven outings Queens will be going all out for three points when they travel to Ayr on Saturday. We've an impressive record against them this season, winning thrice without conceding a single goal, but Gordon Chisholm insists, "That means nothing!"

Added the manager, "We beat them 1-0 at Somerset Park last time around but it was a bruising, physical battle. It wasn't one for the faint hearted and we picked up a few knocks into the bargain. Local derbies are always that bit more up-beat and Brian Reid has got them playing well at the moment. I think they're a much better team than their current league position suggests.

"I watched them beat Partick Thistle only recently and I'll get another chance to spy on them tomorrow night. They play Dundee, who are next up for us, so it's an ideal opportunity to 'kill two birds with one stone' so to speak.

"I wasn't at all happy with our last couple of results--we conceded far too many soft goals. In those two games we allowed the opposition to 'cut us up' and we only had ourselves to blame. We must tighten up and become more solid again at the back."
