LOVELL IS ATTACK MINDED

Stuart Lovell
After the dramatic events of the last few days with the departure of Iain Scott, it's time to rally the troops and hopefully Stuart Lovell can pick a winning formation to face Clyde. Lovell was speaking on Radio Solway this morning and he indicated that if Queens were to take all three points they would have to take risks. This means he will pick an attacking formation which may leave us open for the counter attack. Clyde manager Roberts has worked wonders in rebuilding his team more or less from scratch and this will be a tough fixture for Queens under the circumstamces. This will be a difficult one to forecast as we just don't know how the players will react to the turmoil of the last few days. The fans as expected will play a part and a larger than usual attendance is expected tomorrow so here's hoping for a welcome three points. Eric Paton will be presented with a trophy before the kick-off to mark his 100th appearance for Queens which in fact was against Brechin at Glebe Park. Chairman Davie Rae is also due on West Sound Radio at around 2pm tomorrow.

Recent respective form guides

Queen of the South's dreadful home form has resulted in just 1 victory and 1 draw from their last six played. While The Doonhamers have scored 4, a worringly large 8 have been leaked at the other end.

Clyde's away form is none too clever either, with two wins, two draws, and two defeats. The Bully Wee's have scored 12 goals in these games, but conceded an alarming 14.

Queen o.t.S. are hovering perilously just above the relegation zone, with 7 points from 12 matches. Clyde's 19 points from 12 games sees them lie inside the top half of the table, in 5th position.
