QUEENS AIM TO END GOAL FAMINE AT BROADWOOD

Queens head for Broadwood tomorrow in the hope that they can end their goal famine against Clyde. It has been an anxious start to the season for Queens as their favourites have only picked up one goal in three league games and are anchored firmly to the bottom of the league on one point. Their position has been further compounded with the news that John O'Niell has still not recovered from his ham string injury and will not feature. I'm not sure what tactics manager Scott will use on Saturday but one suspects another backs to the wall affair which will further frustrate an already concerned Queens support. It will be another tense affair but hopefully Queens can take something from the game and perhaps record their first league victory of the season. I somehow have my doubts and a draw is about the best we can hope for under the circumstances.

History of the Clyde v Queen of the South fixture

Queen o.t.S. face a trip to Clyde at Broadwood Stadium on Saturday afternoon, needing to turn around their fortunes at the ground. The The Doonhamers will be hoping to improve upon a record which has seen them lose 37 and win only 10 of the 58 games.

The most recent encounter between these two sides was less than a year ago, in March 2005, with Queen o.t.S. inflicting a narrow 0 - 1 defeat upon the Bully Wee in a Scottish Division One match.

Recent respective form guides

Clyde's poor home run has seen them win just 1 and draw 2 of the last six. While Bully Wee have scored 4, a worringly large 7 have been leaked at the other end.

Queen o.t.S.'s away form is none too clever either, accumulating just 1 victory and 1 draw from their last six played. While the The Doonhamers have hit 5 goals, 14 have hit the back of the wrong net.

Clyde see themselves just below half way in the Bells Scottish Division One, showing a record of 4 points from their 3 games played so far, Queen o.t.S. find themselves stuck right at the bottom of the division. Their 3 games have yielded only 1 points.
