STANDING ROOM NO MORE AT THE GLASGOW STREET END

Last updated : 29 April 2005 By Footymad Previewer

It' your last chance to stand at the Portland Road end( Or as some of our more senior supporters call the Glesga Street En ) at Palmy on Saturday as Queens line up for their final home match of the season against St Johnstone. The departure of John Connolly as the Saints manager has taken away some of the spice to the fixture but Queens will be hopeful of success so they can finish well up the league. Eric Paton looks as if he will sit this one out but otherwise Queens will be at full strength. It's the Doonhamers Travel Club end of season dance at the Lochside Labour Club on Saturday evening where the players awards will be presented. A large turnout of Queens players and Officials is expected and I hope to have some pictures of the glittering event on Sunday sometime.

Recent respective form guides

Queen of the South have only collected 1 win and 3 draws from the last six home games played. Only 5 goals have been registered in this time, with 7 in the wrong end.

St. Johnstone's away form is none too clever either, with two wins, two draws, and two defeats. The Saints's have a narrow positive goal difference over these games, with 8 goals for and 7 against.

Queen o.t.S. are hovering perilously just above the relegation zone, with 45 points from 34 matches. St. Johnstone see themselves just below half way in the Bells Scottish Division One, showing a record of 45 points from their 34 games played so far,
