THOMO AND RICHIE READY TO FACE FIFERS

Jim Thomson
Queens welcome the return of anchor man Jim Thomson after suspension to face doomed Raith Rovers at Palmy tomorrow. There is also the great news that keeper Richie Barnard is also available after his horrendous injury during Queens defeat at Love Street last weekend. That defeat finally put paid to Queens chances of a third place finish but there is everything to play for tomorrow as in theory we can still be relegated. Manager Scott stated on BBC radio this morning that the team will be going all out for victory against a side that has failed to record a single away victory this season. This could be an awkward fixture for the Doonhamers as the Raith side have been a bit of a bogey in the past at Palmerston. Queens however should have enough in their tank to record a decent enough victory againt Gordon Dalziel's side who will be facing up to the likes of Gretna next season.

Recent respective form guides

Queen of the South have only collected 1 win and 3 draws from the last six home games played. Only 4 goals have been registered in this time, with 6 in the wrong end.

The away form of Raith Rovers is pretty dire, losing every single one of the last six matches played! Rovers have conceded 15 goals in these games, and only hit 2 in reply.

Queen o.t.S.'s 43 points from 32 games sees them lie inside the top half of the table, in 5th position. Raith Rovers find themselves stuck right at the bottom of the division. Their 32 games have yielded only 15 points.

FootyMad's prediction ...

Attention punters! I see this as an opportunity for the The Doonhamers to get the show back on the road by taking all the three points available. Home Win
