ALL ROADS LEAD TO ALLOA FOR LE CRUNCH MATCH
Last updated : 05 April 2002 By Duke Of Galloway
Hundreds of Queens fans will be heading to Alloa tomorrow to see if their favourites can overcome a team which has beaten them three times this season. A win for Queens will more or less guarantee promotion and put them within grasping distance of their first championship success in 50 years. Alloa however, are an experienced team and will be difficult to beat on their own midden. Having enjoyed a season in Division 1,Terry Christies men have several experienced players in their ranks namely Knox and Curran. Up front they have Hutcheson and Hamilton who will be a threat. I feel Queens however have the players to hurt Alloa and we have goals coming from everywhere including the prolific O'Neill in midfield. A lot will depend on Christies tactics. I feel he must attack and try to win and this could leave gaps at the back for Lyle and O'Connor to exploit. Queens have no injury worries apart from Atkinson and I'll be surprised if JC tinkers around with the team which blew Morton away on Tuesday.
Probable Queens team:
Scott
Gray Thomson Aitken Crawford
Connelly O'Neill Bowey McAlpine
Lyle O'Connor
This match will have goals and I'll go for a draw.
