Sensational news this evening from Palmy is that fans hero Derek Lyle has pledged his future with Queens and signed a 1 year contract. An undisclosed transfer fee was involved and it is unclear whether Lyle has been signed on a full or part- time contract. Either way this is tremendous news for Queens fans as they aim for a season of consolidation in Division 1. Meanwhile right midfielder Gordon Connelly has surprisingly moved to Berwick for an undisclosed fee. This is indeed a strange one as he was one of our key players. Perhaps he has gone down the same road as Graham Connell, thinking perhaps he is not quite good enough for Division 1 !!!
