QUEENS IN SEARCH OF CUP GLORY IN ANGUS

McNiven must be on
from the start
Queens take a break from the rigours of the league and head north to face Montrose in the third round of the Scottish Cup on Saturday. This will be a tough encounter and the Links Park side under manager Henry Hall will be no pushover which Gretna nearly found out to their cost last Saturday. This is a massive game for struggling Queens and could make or break their season. Losing this tie is unthinkable and Iain Scott has taken his team for an overnight stay at Broughty Ferry prior to the game. Scott must have out of favour striker McNiven on from the start and we must go at the gable endies from the start. Any defensive slip ups like the Hamilton game and Montrose will take full advantage. Scott has a full squad to pick from apart from long term crock Reid and they may be without new signing Bell who took a knock in training. It should be a typical cracker pf a cup-tie and I hope Queens come through unscathed with a win. One thing is for sure they will have to play a lot better than of late if they are to overcome their hosts who will definitely be up for this one.
