QUEENS MUST DIG DEEP AT NEW BROOMFIELD

REID - OUT INJURED
It's crunch time tomorrow at New Broomfield as Queens fight to end a losing run against Airdrie United. We must somehow dig out a result and our opponents will obviously be smarting after a 5-0 defeat last week at the hands of Falkirk. Although Queens have not played that well in recent games they have not been enjoying their fair slice of luck with even the referees seemingly against us. We will certainly need all the luck going against Airdrie tomorrow as our injury problems have not improved. Brian Reid will be out for a few weeks along with Willie Gibson who has just had a hernia operation which was a success. Jaconelli and Paton are not expected to be back until the Hamilton game so the side will be much alongside the lines which was bundled out of the Challenge Cup at Perth on Tuesday evening. Difficult to predict this one with our recent failure in front of goal. Bearing this in mind I think the best we can hope for is a draw. There will of course be a few hundred up from Dumfries to cheer the boys on and this may be in the end a deciding factor
