James Fowler warns Queen of the South not to underestimate Livingston
Queen of the South boss James Fowler has warned his side to be wary of bottom of the table Livingston ahead of their Ladbrokes Championship clash at Palmerston Park.
Queens go into the game depleted through the loss of four players - Andy Dowie, Darren Brownlie, Mark Millar and Callum Tapping - through injury, but striker Iain Russell is set to return.
Fowler said: "Livingston have a strong squad and are playing better than their points total suggests.
"From the reports I have seen they should have beaten St Mirren last weekend so this will be tough."
Livingston duo Scott Pittman and Myles Hippolyte are back after missing the midweek Petrofac Cup defeat at Rangers through suspension, but Darren Cole (knee), Craig Sives (back) and Danny Mullen (hamstring) are all still out.
Livingston boss Mark Burchill said: "The players put in a good performance against St Mirren and then stuck well to our game plan at Rangers but we lost both games.
"The biggest failing in our game is that we are not turning chances into goals.
"Our points total is too low and if we are to improve it then we have to start putting the ball in the net. Queen of the South are a well organised side - however this is a game we can win."
