Harris missing for Queens
Queen of the South will be without new loan signing Alex Harris when they take on Morton in the second round of the Scottish League Cup.
The young winger is cup-tied after playing for parent club Hibernian in the previous round, while Callum Tapping remains out with a foot injury and Kyle Jacobs is an injury doubt, however Lewis Kidd is expected to be fit enough to start.
Manager James Fowler is unimpressed with the favourites tag as he explained: "Some people had expected us to beat Livingston in the Petrofac Cup however that never happened so I do not read too much into being favourites.
"We are in for a tough evening as Morton showed against St Mirren that they are a very decent side."
Morton goalkeeper Derek Gaston is a major doubt due to a thigh injury and Grant Adam is available to deputise if he misses out.
Knee injuries rule out Frank McKeown and Michael Tidser, with Joe McKee continuing to be absent due to a hamstring problem.
Manager Jim Duffy said: "I watched Queen of the South at Dumbarton on Saturday and they are a very hard-working and well organised side who deserved their win. I am pleased with my side defensively so far this season however we need to show more of a cutting edge.
"Hopefully we can do that at Palmerston and get through to the next round."
