Jordan Marshall misses Queen of the South clash with Raith through injury
Queen of the South will be without injured full-back Jordan Marshall when they aim to keep their slim Ladbrokes Championship play-off hopes alive against Raith Rovers.
Queens have no room for error with Raith 14 points ahead with only five games remaining.
"We know that Raith have virtually secured the last play-off place however if we can win this game then we keep things going for another week," said Queen of the South manager James Fowler.
"They have been playing with a great spirit however we have shown in our recent games that we have resilience in our side. We also have a real goal threat now so we will look to go out and win."
Raith miss the banned Ross Callachan while ankle injuries rule out David Bates and Mark Stewart and a groin problem sees Scott Robertson remain sidelined.
Lewis Vaughan is not yet ready to return despite playing for the first time in eight months in a midweek under-20 development game, but on-loan Rangers striker Ryan Hardie is available.
Raith manager Ray McKinnon said: "We are very close to the finishing line however we still have to get over it.
"Getting a positive result at Palmerston will see us do that however they have an experienced squad and are scoring goals so we will have our work cut out."
