Millar free from suspension
Queen of the South welcome back Mark Millar from a two- game ban as they host Rangers in the first leg of the Scottish Championship play-off quarter-final.
Chris Mitchell is out with a toe injury and Paul Burns will not feature despite returning to training after a hip problem.
Palmerston manager James Fowler said: "We have done well in our games against Rangers this season but of course the next two meetings will have a very different feel to them.
"League placings show that they are the favourites, however we will go out and look to play like we can. It would be great to take a lead to Ibrox."
Rangers boss Stuart McCall is keeping a watchful eye on a couple of knocks but hopes to have an unchanged squad.
The Ibrox men have lost on their last two visits to Palmerston but are aiming to have better luck when they face the Doonhamers.
Definitely missing out on the Dumfries trip are Seb Faure (knee), Jon Daly (knee), Kevin Mbabu (fitness issues), Remie Streete (muscle strain), Gael Bigirimana (infection) and Shane Ferguson (knee).
