Tommorow's scheduled Bell's Scottish division 2 match between Queen of the South and Greenock Morton may be called-off due to a waterlogged pitch at Cappielow Park. Like Dumfries, Greenock has been hit by the recent bad weather and the pitch has apparently suffered badly with both goalmouths being under water this morning.
It is rumoured that 'Ton boss Peter cormack is hoping the game will be called off, whether this is due to fixture congestion or fear of the "in-form" doonhmaers, remains to be seen.
Advice is that you should phone Cappielow tommorow before you travel to the game on 01475 723571. In my opinion there is more chance of the game being called off rather than on.
Alternative match....
If anyone would like to see football of a different standard, feel free to come and watch the supporters match between Albert Morton and Dynamo Doonhamers at Battery Park, Greenock. KO 12 ish
