IS JC GOING TO LEAD US TO THE PROMISED LAND ?

Queens progress under John Connelly since his arrival from non-league Ashington last season, has been nothing short of remarkable. Despite his critics he has transformed the clubs fortunes and we are on the verge of promotion and possibly winning our first league championship for generations. There is of course talk of a rift between JC and certain players and also disquiet between himself and chairman Ronnie Bradford. One is reminded that Alex Ferguson and the late Bill Shankly had similar problems and look what they both achieved !!
Football supporters are very fickle and have short memories, showering praise for a manager after victory and then subjecting him to ridicule after a defeat. The latter was vividly illustrated earlier in the season when JC got a roasting from certain factions of the Queens support after a cup defeat at Airdrie. He took exception to this and had a real go at the fans in the match programme the following week and almost resigned. Since then he has made many eat their words and we are now in a terrific position.

There are some tough matches ahead but I feel the gods are with us this time and with our large pool of players and marvelous support we are indeed heading for the promised land - Well at least division 1 and a championship would be a bonus.
