QUEENS HOPEFUL OF SUCCESS AGAINST THEIR OLD BOSS

Last updated : 13 August 2004 By Duke Of Galloway

Queens will be hopeful of opening their points account in the SFL against a St Johnstone side who have had an awful start to the season under Queens former boss John Connolly. It should be a tense affair as Queens have also not exactly set the heather on fire far themselves. Queens injury woes continue with the news that Willie Gibson now may need a hernia operation and wont be available for some time. Wood however is back in contention but Jaconelli and Paton are still out. Queens haven't exactly been firing on all cylinders of late and I have my fears that Saints may take full advantage of this tomorrow. The simple fact is that we are just not putting our chances away so it's up to Wood and Mc Niven to prouduce the goods. There will be as usual the large travelling Queens support heading for Perth and I hope they don't come home disappointed. I however think Queens will be really up against it and I'm going for a narrow home win for Saints.
