THE PRODIGAL SON RETURNS TO HIS SPIRITUAL HOME IN CONFIDENT MOOD

Last updated : 13 December 2002 By Duke Of Galloway
John Connolly returns to the fair city of Perth and the place where he first started his football career. Muirton was the original ground where the Perth Saints played but it will be a nostalgic return for John and hopefully he will be rewarded with a famous win. I however have my doubts as Queens are not finding the net on a regular basis and Saints must be favourites after a resounding success against Clyde last Saturday. The Saints cannot write off promotion yet and are within striking distance of Falkirk with only half the season over. I have a feeling that St. Johnstone are now enjoying a rich vein of form and Queens will really be up against it tomorrow and a win is really beyond us with the news that Bowyer will probably not make it due to a thigh strain. I hope I am proved wrong but I predict Queens will get thumped and a 2-0 victory for the Saints is imminent. I'm off with the Travel Club as usual tomorrow with a reasonable 10.00 am start and Santa Claus hats are the order of the day and remember £15 to get in at Perth. I've already raided the Duchess's housekeeping money to cover the extra expense. We will also have a video of the Brechin V Queens Cup final video showing on the bus going up. Enjoy your day !!!
