Queens held on for three vital points after a tremendous scrap at Broadwood against Clyde. The Cumbernauld side had the edge for long periods and they were unlucky on several occassions with the best chance falling to Masterton whose free-kick struck the bar.

Queens however defended well with MacDonald in goal having a magnificent match. The vital goal came on 69 minutes when Harris felled Dobbie and the Queens's striker stroked home the ball confidently. Despite some desperate defending Queens held out for a memorable win and their 1st Division status next season looks more likely by the minute.

The Great Escape continues and another three points against Hamilton on Tuesday evening will do just nicely.

Travel Club Man of the Match - Jamie MacDonald - He had a magnificent game for Queens in goal.
