Anderson-scored for the Dons
A disastrous 10 minute spell in the first half in which Queens conceded three goals put paid to the Donnhamers chances of progressing any further in the Tennents Scottish Cup. Goals by Young,D'Jaffo and Anderson put the Dons firmly in control and Queens only answer was a good chance spurned by O'Neill who was put clean through by O'Connor. Sean O'Connor was carried off with what looked like a bad leg injury and this put a dampner on the second half in which the Dons were content just to sit on their lead. Weatherson did give the Queens some hope with a penalty in the last minute but the Dons had the last laugh with a further goal by D'Jaffo right on the final whistle. As many had feared Queens really lost their chance to beat the Dons at Palmerston a few weeks ago. We can now look forward to the campaign for league survival which will start against St Mirren this Saturday in a re-arranged fixture.
