Hamilton missed the chance to leapfrog leaders Dundee as they were held to a draw by Queen of South.

Accies broke the deadlock in the 56th minute through Martin Canning, who headed in James Keatings' corner.

However, Queens striker Gavin Reilly levelled seven minutes later, firing into the bottom corner.

Reilly almost claimed the points eight minutes from time but he saw his header smartly saved by Kevin Cuthbert.

A highly entertaining encounter at Palmerston with perhaps a draw the fair result although Queens created more chances to seal a win.
