Late Tosh Strike Earns Queens A Point

Substitute Steve Tosh rescued a point for Queen of the South with a late equaliser against Clyde at Broadwood.

Goalkeeper David Hutton saved well from Queens' Craig Barr before Willie McLaren won a ninth-minute penalty for Clyde, which Alan Trouten converted. The visitors came close to a leveller when Stephen Dobbie shot wide after being set up by Sean O'Connor, who was later stretchered off injured.

Tosh struck from 25 yards with 11 minutes remaining to secure a draw.

Queens almost stole an undeserved winner in the closing minutes when a goalbound shot struck
subsutitute Kean on the heel.

Queens did well to come back for a share of the points in a bruising encounter but Clyde can thank a lenient referee who turned a blind eye to some of the tough tackling from the Broadwood side.

Queens MAD man of the match - Bomber Harris put in a good shift but unfortunately picked up an injury which may keep him out for Saturday's clash with Morton at Palmy.
