Pars Dump Lack Lustre Queens

Last updated : 10 May 2009 By Queens MAD

Dunfermline moved up to third in the First Division after a comfortable victory over a Queens side who simply didn't turn up

The visitors made the breakthrough in the 21st minute when Andy Kirk beat goalkeeper Lee Robinson to loop a header into the empty net.

Callum Woods headed the Pars 2-0 up before Nicky Phinn smashed in from the edge of the box on 34 minutes.

Queens ended with 10 men when Jim Thomson was red carded on 67 minutes after a tussle with Graham Bayne.

This game was a complete anti-climax especially after the great show from Queens last week. With First Division status safe the Doonhamers seemed uninterested but a poor display in the Queens goal by Robinson in goal didn't help. he looked badly a fault with at least two of the goals.

Queens Mad Man of the Match - Bob Harris - Put in a good shift whilst some around him seemed uninterested.
