Pars Hold Doonhamers

SOME SHOCKING DECISIONS BY REFEREE ALLAN DENIED QUEENS WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN A DESRVED VICTORY OVER THE PARS AT PALMERSTON.

Queens Tosh
The incompetent Official turned down several strong claims for penalties in a frantic second half as Queens desparately searched for a winner. How the referee or his linesman failed to spot at least one of the incidents beggers belief. Gordon Chisolm asked for an explanation from the Referee after the game and was told that the Official was unsighted.

This was small comfort to a Queens side who got off to a great start on 8 minutes as MacFarlane set up Harris for his first goal for the club. Queens failed to consolidate and allowed the Pars back into the game when Morrison scored from a free kick in the 25 minute.

Queens should have went on to win the match but a sterling performance from the Pars goalkeeper and poor decisions by refree Allan ensured the visitors gained a valuable point. There were also needless bookings for Dobbie and Tosh.

So Queens have gone slightly off the boil after the great Cup win and are losing touch with the top three and perhaps with the Semi-Final looming their minds are elsewhere.
