AFTER THE EUPHORIA OF THE CUP WIN QUEENS WERE BROUGHT BACK DOWN TO EARTH AS THEY WERE NARROWLY DEFEATED BY ST JOHNSTONE AT A MORGUE LIKE MCDIARMID PARK.

Queens Dobbie
Queens were without their influencial duo Thomson and Tosh which the Home site tried to exploit but the Doonhamers more than held their own and the first half finished goalless.

Dobbie carved out a goal for Queens on 57 minutes when he curled a delightful shot into the top corner of the net to delight of the band of diehard fans who ventured North.

This should have been the platform for Queens to go and win but unfortunately fell to a brace of goals from Saints McDonald on 76 and 87 minutes. Queens almost snatched a late equaliser through Gilmour but he was clearly offside.

So Queens fine run has eventually ended but they can bounce back against the Pars on Saturday.

Doonhamers Travel Club Man of the Match - Craig Reid - Saved Queens on several ocassions with some vital tackles.
