SFL_CRESTQueen of the South moved seven points clear at the top of the Scottish Second Division with a narrow win against East Fife at Palmerston.

Derek Lyle headed the only goal of the match in the fourth minute, converting Chris Mitchell's cross.

The visitors were denied by goalkeeper Lee Robinson, who blocked Paul Willis's shot from the edge of the area.

Gavin Reilly, Nicky Clark and Lyle all threatened a second for Queens but one goal proved to be enough.

Queens missed a hatful of chances and made it hard for themselves but they remain seven points ahead at the top of SFL2
