Paul Di Giacomo scored a stunning opener as Ross County progressed to the semi-finals of the Alba Challenge Cup at the expense of Queen of the South.
Paul Lawson threaded the ball through to Di Giacomo on 26 minutes, and he fired high into the net from 18 yards.
County dominated the first half but the visitors pressed hard for an equaliser in the second half with Michael McGovern saving Derek Holmes' shot from point blank range.
But in added time County's Steven Craig sealed the win from close range after dribbling from the halfway line.
A disappointing result for Queens who had their chances in the latter stages to claim at least extra time.
