Queens Fight Back For A Point At Almondvale

Last updated : 13 May 2009 By Queens MAD

Queen of the South came back from conceding two early goals to claim a point in monsoon conditions at Almondvale.

Livingston mastered the heavy pitch better and David Winters headed them in front after Lee Robinson failed to hold a cross from Andrew Halliday.

Winters was then felled by Neil McFarlane and Leigh Griffiths scored with the spot-kick.

Steve Tosh hit back with a penalty on the hour and Gerry McLaughlin equalised with a cracking volley on 67 minutes.

A well deserved point to Queens as they rounded off the season in front of a large following of loyal away fans mny of whom turned up in fancy dress.

Queens Mad Man of the Match - Bomber Harris - Another solid performance from the left-back.
