QUEENS PUT THEIR POOR RUN OF FORM BEHIND THEM AND CAME AWAY WITH A CREDITABLE SHARE OF THE POINTS FROM PERTH AGAINST LEAGUE LEADERS ST JOHNSTONE

Derek Holmes blasted over early on for the home side before Stewart Kean headed wide from a Queens corner. Also Thomson had the ball in the net but the goal was chauked off for a previous infringement.

The home side controlled much of the play in the second half but failed to breakdown a resolute Queens defence in which Aitken,Thomson and Barr were outstanding.

Steven Milne, Chris Miller and Jody Morris went close before Saints keeper Alan Main denied David Weatherston when he was clean through on goal.

In the end a precious point for Queens and ended an alarming run of defeats.
