Queens Thwarted At Broadwood

Clyde produced a remarkable rearguard action to hold out for a goalless draw at Broadwood.

Clyde twice cleared off the line in the first half, while home striker Sean O'Connor saw his shot hit the crossbar.

Clyde striker Dougie Imrie forced keeper Jamie Hutton into a full-length save to turn the ball round the post.

Defender Danny Kirkup then made a third goal-line stop to deny Neil Scally but Clyde went close when Roddy MacLennan's header crashed back off the crossbar.

Said Queen's manager Chisolm afterwards, "It was a good solid performance, the boys played well and I felt it was one of our best away displays this season. But it was a game of missed chances on both sides, however I thought we had the better ones and could well have won. On the plus side we created a lot of good scoring chances but we must learn to be much more clinical with our finishing. Dobbs came into the dressing room at full time claiming it was a 'stonewall' penalty near the end. Alas the referee had the final say and he said no".
