Queens Thwarted In Six Goal Thriller

League leaders St Johnstone denied victory for Queen of the South after coming from behind twice in a six goal thriller at Palmerston.

The home side stormed into a two goal lead with Barry Wilson netting early and then Stephen Dobbie hitting the back of the net after the break. Shortly afterwards the Dobmeister had a great chance to put Queens 3-0 up but his effort was brilliantly saved by Main in the Saints goal.

Kevin Rutkiewicz grabbed one back for the visitors then Chris Millar drew the sides level after 64 minutes.

Paul Burns put Queens back in front but striker Derek Homes rescued a point to continue his team's march to the title.

Queens can consider themselves unlucky not to have secured both points but once again defensive errors cost them dearly.

Queens MAD man of the Match - Steve Dobbie - a class act and his goal was something else.
