Queen of the South clinched their third successive win at Dunfermline in the ALBA Challenge Cup with a thrilling 6-5 penalty shootout triumph.

Harris,Burns,Quinn,McLaren,Reid and McGuffie converted all their spot kicks for Queens but Dunfermline's Dowie hit the crossbar to send Queens through.

David Weatherston put Queens ahead in the 53rd minute when he curled a right-footed shot into the bottom corner.

David Graham's own curling effort for the Pars hit the post before Andy Kirk lashed in an 82nd-minute equaliser.

This was a fighting display by Queens and makes up for Saturday's disappointment.

Queens Mad Man of the Match - Craig Reid - Another outstanding display.
