QUEENS UNBEATEN RUN CONTINUES

Queens were well worth their share of the points in a bruising encounter gainst an extremely physical Hamilton side who certianly didn't take any prisoners. The Accies got off to a flyer in 4 minutes when Wake took advantage of some slack
Queens defending to place the ball behind MacDonald. Queens responded immediately and O'Connor was for ever in the thick of things but chances were few and far between.

Hamilton had a lot of the ball and looked dangersous at times but to be honest made very few openings agaianst a Queens defence which had recovered from the early error. On 20 minutes Paton swung in a cross which the Accies defence looked to have covered but somehow O'Connor stole in and levelled the score much to the relief of the Palmy faitful. The game then developed into a brusing midfield battle which the referee had difficulty controlling at times. Queens had the best chances during a bruIsing second half when Dobbie blazed over and O'Neill was unlucky with a header.

Over the peice I suppose a draw was a fair result but Queens could certainly have stolen it. Having watched Queens play all of the top teams in this division we can safely say that the are no better than Queens but we are still not out of the woods yet and the Thistle game at Firhill is another massive challenge. I think we have the players to face up to the challenge and we have every chance of achieving a result.

Duke's man of the match - Eric Paton - He had an immaculate game both in defence and attack.
