Queens Warm Up For Hampden With A Dull Draw

Queen of the South warmed up for next Saturday's Scottish Cup Semi-Final but failed to break down Stirling Albion in a goalless draw at a freezing Forthbank Stadium.

Albion went close in a dull first half through Andy Graham's header wide and Chris Aitken's lob.

The Doonhamers' best efforts saw Steve Tosh flick wide of Scott Christie's right-hand post and Stephen Dobbie send a shot wide after 32 minutes.

Stirling's Jay Rodriguez went close , before Queen's appealed in vain for a penalty when Andy Graham handled. Dobbie also had a chance when he weaved his way into the box but then lifted his shot over the bar.

Queens obviously had their thoughts set firmly on next week's events and fans were obviously relieved that there were no further injuries or dreaded red cards.
